EDI Connectivity - Supply Chain Visibility - In House Advantage

Today, logistics is a function of technology and information. McKesson Logistics provides state-of-the-art information technology solutions designed to respond quickly to the evolving changes in the healthcare sector. Our enterprise software enables us to seamlessly implement your business requirements to enhance distribution processes with your customers and vendors.

Every client is unique.  At McKesson Logistics, we have a commitment to provide our clients with an efficient way to support their logistics needs from receipt of products, to inventory management to customer order management, invoicing and collection.

Our logistics systems have the following capabilities:

  • Order Management – Our order management functionality includes processing of customer orders by EDI, flat file, Excel, fax, email, mail, or telephone.
  • Pricing and Contract Management – Our pricing module was designed for the healthcare manufacturing industry.  All of your customers are setup with their own contract pricing and deals either by, for example, product, group buying or region.
  • Customer Invoicing – McKesson Logistics customizes the look of your customer invoice to include your own brand name and logo.
  • Warehouse Management – Our WMS system receives electronic ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) for the receipt of products in our facilities.  Lot and expiry date tracking is a standard feature for efficient management of product/lot recall.  Based on client requirements, the WMS system and our facilities can handle different picking, from small unit pick, to case and pallet picking.  All our facilities use RF (radio frequency) handheld devices for picking, put-away and inventory counts.
  • Transportation Management – Our TMS allows for optimum rate shopping and lane profiling. It allows pre-determination of carriers according to arrangements with our clients and their customers. The system is also able to provide online POD (Proof-of-delivery) through a direct connection with carriers.

EDI Connectivity

The power to stay connected to your business and customers.

McKesson Logistics uses EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transaction sets to receive and transmit EDI documents between clients and customers on a daily basis. McKesson Logistics can receive orders via EDI using a standard VAN, AS2 or through file transmission to an FTP site.

The McKesson Logistics Web-based system offers unparalleled advantages for your business.  Access to your logistics transactions for inquiries and reporting is provided through the Internet.  Information access is in real time; no proprietary hardware and software are required; secure access employs user-defined ID and password; and you can print or download reports in a variety of formats. To the top of the page
